Gratitude and Respect
The members of the Shotokan Karate-do Dojo offer our sincere thanks to the following:
To the late Louis H. Rabouin Sensei for his instruction, his vision and his friendship. Your legacy is honored by the SKDD.
To our membership and their families: The affection that we have for each of you is endless. Your kind and consistent support is what keeps us opening the dojo doors.
To Shane Martin and the staff at the Kendrick Recreation Center: There is no way that we can express our thanks to the degree that each of you deserves. Your trust, loyalty and confidence in us encourages us to seek excellence in our art. Since 1989, the Shotokan Karate-do Dojo is the only dedicated dojo in Philadelphia's recreation system and we appreciate all that you do to keep us up and running.
To Grandmaster John Crudup of the Universal Song Do Kwan Alliance: For your aid, your counsel and your friendship we thank you. Sensei. We know that you are an old Shoto-Warhorse at heart and we really enjoy our time with you. Thank you very much for helping us along the way.
Very Special "There's A Place In Heaven" thanks to everyone who spotted typos and pointed out errors as we launched this site. You guys are heroes.
We leave you with Technical Director Michael Larkin's favorite piece of wisdom:
A bad day is a bad day for everyone
Misfortune will fall like rain, on your head
And, on the head of your enemy
Victory goes to the side that has studied best
To acquire superior skill and indomitable Spirit.
